Ariel Laxo
English TeacherAriel joined Excel Academy Rhode Island in 2024 as a sixth grade English teacher. Prior to Excel, they spent several years as the Multilingual Learner Coordinator for Roxbury Prep Lucy Stone in Dorchester, Massachusetts. Ariel began their career in education through three years of combined Americorps service, through City Year Baton Rouge and Teach for America – Boston. Ariel is deeply passionate about reading, yarn-based crafts, and promoting neurodiversity.
