Excel students grow and discover their best selves through rigorous and identity-affirming academics.

  • Open to All: All students from Providence, North Providence, and Central Falls are welcome to apply. Currently enrolled students are guaranteed a seat.

  • Tuition-Free: Families can apply and attend Excel Academy Rhode Island for free.

  • Grades 5 – 12: Excel Academy Rhode Island is serving grades 5 to 9 in the 2026-27 school year and will expand its high school by one grade each year.

  • Rigorous academics: Students are challenged with rigorous coursework, including Advanced Placement (AP) courses that prepare students for college-level work and competitive post-secondary options.

  • Robust Student Life: Student clubs, sports, and student and family events support a well-rounded school experience.

  • College Prep: Robust college and post-secondary programming includes college and career visits in 9th grade, SAT tutoring, individualized college counseling, and post-secondary support.
