Around Boston, there are thousands of students who want the kind of public education Excel offers but who are put on waitlists. We are forced to turn away roughly 80% of the students who enter our admission lottery each year. Now that the charter cap in Massachusetts has been lifted, we are pursuing ambitious plans to replicate Excel in the coming years to reach many more students and families across the Boston area.
As Excel Academy grows into a network, we are looking for highly qualified teachers, administrators and Network Team leaders to join our talented staff. While educational experience is helpful, we are very open to hiring people from outside the education world who are interested in education reform but have not yet gotten involved full-time.
