Uniform Requirements

Excel Academy Middle School Uniform Dress Code

Excel Academy has a strict dress code. This includes the expectation that uniforms fit well. Uniforms will be available for sizing at the New Family Orientation session.

Note: This is just to support sizing, we will not have uniforms to purchase at school.

Uniform pieces with the Excel logo can be purchased at Elite Embroidery (319 Shirley Street in Winthrop, (617) 539-3300). You can also purchase items on Amazon at Target, etc. to save money and/or facilitate the purchase. 

Middle School Dress Code Details

Required Items: Please note the SHADE of gray and blue–it is critical that you purchase the correct color uniform items. 

Fitness Uniform [worn 2 days a week: for fitness and on Friday]

Dress Uniform [worn on the other three days a week]
  • Gray T-Shirt (short sleeve or long sleeve)
  • Navy Sweatpants (no logo except Excel logo)
    • Leggings are not allowed
  • Navy Blue Polo Shirt  (short sleeve or long sleeve)
  • Khaki or Navy Pants 
  • Navy Sweater, Sweatshirt, or Fleece [no hoods]

Recommended Quantity: This will vary depending on how frequently you are able to do laundry.  But, generally, this is a good number for families who are able to launder clothes weekly.

Socks, Belts and undershirts 

Black Sneakers. 

Note: Must be closed-toe. 

Crocs, slides, and sandals are not allowed

Adidas Black sneakers 

Other black sneakers

 

Socks: Any Color.   Note: School-appropriate logos, if any.

 

Belts: Black, Brown, or Navy may be worn with the Dress Uniform

 

Undershirts: Neutral undershirts (e.g. black, white, gray, and navy) can be worn under uniform shirts
