Talia BuonopaneSpecial Education Coordinator
Talia holds two bachelor’s degrees from Southern New Hampshire University in Early Childhood Education and Special Education K-12 and a master’s in Curriculum & Teaching from Fitchburg State. Talia started her teaching career as a Kindergarten teacher and then found Excel Chelsea by luck after realizing she wanted to solely focus on Special Education. She worked there as the 8th grade learning specialist for four years, and spearheaded new student testing, managed all intervention programming and data, and was the dance team coach. Talia left XLC in 2019 to pursue more experience working with students in a therapeutic setting and ran the therapeutic program for 3rd through 5th grade students with severe social/emotional needs in Winthrop. She is now back with Excel as a Special Education Coordinator at Excel High School.
