Rachel Spencer
Department Head & ELL SpecialistRachel joined Excel in 2016 as an ELL Specialist. She became the ELL Department Head in 2017. Prior to Excel, Rachel taught ESL at newcomer high schools in New York City. She has a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Teachers College at Columbia University. Outside of work time, Rachel loves to read mysteries and bake cookies.
