Mariah Baxter
Dean of Curriculum and InstructionMariah joined Excel’s staff in 2016. She currently serves as a Dean of Curriculum and Instruction at Excel Academy Charter High School where she previously taught biology and served as the Science Department Head. Mariah started her career teaching high school and middle school science in Baltimore, Maryland. She also worked for TNTP, an education non-profit, coaching first-year teachers in a variety of Baltimore City public schools. Mariah holds a bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University and a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University.
