Gordon Parris

Gordon joined Excel’s staff in 2022 and currently serves as a 9^th Grade History Teacher at the High School. Prior to this, Gordon taught Political Science, including Comparative Politics, International Relations, and Quantitative Analysis, at Northeastern University. He was also an English as a Foreign Language teacher at a private language school in Boston. Earlier, Gordon had taught at a High School in Cape Town, South Africa, which is also his home country.

Gordon holds a Bachelor’s degree with Honors in English Literature and Philosophy from the University of Cape Town, a joint Master’s degree from University College London, UK, and the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, in East European Area Studies, and a second Master’s degree in Political Science from Northeastern University here in Boston. He was a PhD Candidate in Political Science at Northeastern.
