Sarah Kantrowitz

Sarah joined Excel’s staff in 2011 as Excel Academy Chelsea’s founding Learning Specialist. Sarah currently serves as the Network’s Director of Student Supports and has since 2013. Prior to this role, Sarah served as Excel Chelsea’s Dean of Student Supports. Before coming to Excel, she taught at an alternative high school in Philadelphia through Teach for America for two years during which time she received the 2011 Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching. Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree from New York University and a master’s degree in Education from Chestnut Hill College. She previously participated in the BES LENS Program, a year-long intensive training that prepares rising leaders to think, see, decide, manage, and execute as effective leaders in high-performing schools.
