Josh LaPlant

Josh joined Excel’s staff in 2015 and currently serves as Excel Academy East Boston’s 7th and 8th Grade Social Studies teacher. Prior to Excel Josh spent 10 years in the private sector in both property insurance and commercial energy and more recently worked as a Tutor through the Match Corps program while participating in the Match Teaching Residency. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Suffolk University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Effective Teaching from the Sposato Graduate School of Education.
