Volunteer Opportunities
 

Saturday Academy: Excel Academy's weekend math program seeks volunteers to tutor students and help them strengthen their fundamental math skills.  Commitment is on a week-by-week basis, on Saturdays from 9am-12pm.  This three hour commitment includes a 30-minute training session to prepare volunteers.  Individuals and corporate groups welcome.  Contact: Megan Aponte, Student Support Fellow at maponte@excelacademy.org or 617.561.1371 x225.

Enrichment Program: Have a passion for the arts? Sports? Arts and crafts? Karaoke? Debate? Excel Academy seeks enthusiastic individuals to propose and lead some of our exciting enrichment programs.  Commitment is for ten weeks on Fridays from 12pm-1:30pm. Graduate Mentoring Program: Serve as a mentor to a high school age Excel Academy alum and help him/her stay on the path to college. Commitment is for 12 months, approximately 5 hours a month. Career Day: Our annual Career Day event exposes Excel Academy students to a variety of professional opportunities and what it takes to achieve them. We seek individuals from a variety of professions and backgrounds to inspire, advise and connect with our students at this one day event in the spring.
