Tutoring
Excel Academy is currently recruiting volunteers to tutor 5th-8th graders in Algebra level math and middle school English, science and social studies from 2:30-5:00 pm any day(s) Monday through Thursday. We are seeking qualified individuals who welcome the challenge of providing quality academic assistance to inner-city middle school students. Volunteers should believe in our mission and in the perspective that all students can reach high standards. They should be dedicated and willing to commit to a weekly, agreed-upon schedule. Tutors need not have teaching certification. Previous tutoring and/or experience with children is preferred.

Saturday Academy

Excel Academy's Saturday Academy is a weekly, three hour program that provides remediation in basic math skills to selected students.  We invite individuals and corporate groups to get involved as tutors and help our students develop strong foundations in mathematics.
