Excel’s Partners
Excel Academy Charter Schools is a public institution funded primarily through state funds allocated on a per-pupil basis. However, when Excel chooses to launch new schools, we do so by adding one grade level per year until we reach full enrollment. During growth mode, Excel requires growth capital to our operations until we reach full scale, at which point our financial model gets us to financial sustainability. Additionally, in 2015, Excel broke ground on a new high school facility in East Boston that required an up-front equity down payment that was raised through private philanthropy. Excel would not be in the position it is today, with three best-in-class middle schools and a new high school, without the support of our hundreds of donors who make gifts of all sizes.
In the most recent fiscal year, Excel Academy raised a record $3,758,569. On this page we are proud to highlight and thank the many generous individuals and organizations that supported Excel in fiscal year 2015 (July 1, 2014-June 30, 2015) with cumulative giving totaling $10,000 and up. Thank you!
