Our Mission and Purpose
Excel Academy’s mission is to prepare students to succeed in high school and college, apply their learning to solve relevant problems, and engage productively in their communities. The College Access & Post-Secondary Success team exists to deliver on the Excel network’s mission. Historically our student population is critically under-represented in our nation’s post-secondary institutions. Whether our students choose college, or another post-secondary path, we support all of our alumni in the achievement of their goals. Beginning in 5th grade and continuing for up to 6 years after high school graduation, our comprehensive programming focuses on identity development, teaching non-cognitive skills, exposure, access and the support needed to succeed.
